CONSUMER PROTECTION AWARDS. This year WARCRA was successful in winning the Richard (Dick) Fletcher Award in recognition of excellence in advancement, development and promotion of consumer protection in Western Australia. On the 18th March 2011 the President accepted the award on behalf of the Association at a special luncheon ceremony at University House. As well as the award certificate the presentation included a cheque for $2600. This notification will be added to the website and consideration given to including it on the letterhead. The award also resulted in several media interviews, radio, TV and newspaper. A video of the ceremony can be seen on the Department of Commerce web-site.
